Reception

Welcome to Reception!

We look forward to getting to know your child and helping them to enjoy their first year at school. Miss O'Connor and Mrs Skeggs are the Reception class teachers. Mrs Stoner supports us with our learning.

We follow the EYFS curriculum, where we learn through a play based curriculum building on children's knowledge and skills in our indoor and outdoor spaces.

Communication

Please check our class Dojo pages for regular updates and photographs about what we have been doing in class! If you want to discuss something with us face to face, please do not hesitate to arrange a time to see us.

It was lovely to see so many of you at the New Parents Welcome meeting this morning. Please see the above PowerPoint which includes all of the key information discussed.

We appreciate that we have bombarded you with a lot of information so please feel free to get in touch should you have any further questions.

We look forward to seeing you again at the 'Stay and Play' sessions.
Enjoy the sunshine,

The EYFS Team

Summer Term B

Our new topic is 'Animals around the world'. If the children have any animal books they would like to bring in and share we would love to see them.

Summer Term A

The children had a brilliant week back after the holidays. We are already enjoying watching our caterpillars grow and learning lots about them! Please find attached this half term's plan.

Spring Term B

Good morning, I hope everyone had a restful half term. This term our topic will be vehicles; please see the above topic plan detailing some of the learning we will be covering in class.

Please find above our teaching plan for this half term's learning. Our topic is 'Traditional Stories' and we have already enjoyed building bridges for the goats, sorting porridge for the bears and using our outdoor area to go on a bear hunt! The children have made a brilliant start to their new term and we are looking forward to lots more learning fun!

Autumn Term B

Hello everyone.

We hope you all had a wonderful half term break. The children have made a fantastic start to the new term and we have begun work on our new topic, Celebrations. This week we will be focusing on Bonfire Night and Diwali. The above topic plan details some of the learning we will be covering in class this term.

On Mondays, children may bring something from home to share with the class during 'News Time'. This term we would love to see and hear about Celebrations the children have taken part in. If possible we would love to see photos or drawings of these too.

As ever if you have any questions or queries please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Thank you for your continued support.
